Danger of Excessive Eating Meat

NOT long, 6 November 2011, Muslims will celebrate Eid . As usual this holiday will be filled with the Eid prayer followed by kurban.Namun slaughterhouses, what if we are excessive in the enjoyment of meat, especially on the feast of Eid?

Indonesian society is very familiar with a dish of meat. Many dishes use meat as an archipelago that the main ingredients,  oxtail soup, goat soup, which has now been crowned as the world's most delicious food.

In terms of health, nutrition, especially protein-containing meat and animal fats are essential for our bodies. Moreover, during growth, an important protein as a builder substance and maintain the integrity of the body and replace damaged cells. The fat contained in meat acts as a source of energy and essential fatty acids the body and the formation of cell membranes and steroid hormones. Fat and protein are needed to support the activities of our body.

Beware, though important, is better to limit meat because if consumed in excessive amounts can cause gastrointestinal ganggguan up or down, especially disease GERD

This disease occurs due to the backflow of gastric contents, including stomach acid into the esophagus because of the weakness of the valve between the stomach and esophagus. In addition to a disturbance of gastric emptying was also induce the onset of GERD.

Excessive fat can cause a slow gastric emptying and the presence of interference with the valve reversed so that the stomach contents into the esophagus. Patients with GERD usually feel the heat in the chest, burning (heart burn). GERD patients also feel there is something behind the direction of the stomach rises up (regurgitation).

In addition, patients usually feel the taste in the mouth and other complaints such as pain in the gut, bloating, fullness, and frequent belching. Patients are usually thought that this chest pain due to heart problems but actually because of stomach acid back up these directions. The rise of stomach acid can also induce the occurrence of shortness of breath, chronic cough, rhinitis (inflammation of the count), chronic inflammation of the vocal cords (laryngitis), until the pain of the teeth.

The main causes of GORD is because eating meat in a short time excessively. The condition is exacerbated if the meat is cooked with coconut milk accompanied by excessive spices that stimulate like sour and spicy.

If after eating meat we went straight to bed, could exacerbate the incidence of GERD because it will cause the food has reached the stomach into the esophagus reversed.
